Policies & Important Information

Warranty Coverage

1-Year Functional Operation Warranty

All Modtub products and components are covered against manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for one year from the original purchase date. Coverage includes:

• Cooler/tub structure
• Chiller system
• Pump assembly (pump, impeller, pump cover)
• Plumbing (hoses and fittings)
• Electrical components (power cord, plug, GFCI adapter)
• Filter system
• All other included components

Important Warranty Exclusions:

• Minor cosmetic blemishes (dents, slight warping, scuffs, scratches, discoloration, fading, non-sticking graphics, or wear to skid pads)
• Damage from freezing conditions
• Damage from improper maintenance or improper water chemistry
• Damage from owner negligence
• Damage from prolonged direct sunlight exposure
• Minor leaks or condensation that don't affect functional performance
• Damage from adding ice directly into the tub while chiller is active
• Damage from operating on uneven or sloped surfaces

Extended Warranty: Optional 2 and 3 year extended warranty.

Warranty Service Process: To receive warranty service, customers must provide proof of purchase and contact Modtub support. The company will determine coverage, conduct troubleshooting if necessary, and provide replacement products or components as appropriate. Labor for repairs is not included. Warranty is non-transferable.

Returns & Cancellations

Cancellation Policy:

• Orders may be cancelled before shipping with a 10% cancellation fee
• Custom colors and custom items cannot be cancelled under any circumstances

Return Policy:

• No returns accepted—all sales are final once shipped
• Purchases are final upon shipment

Pre-Orders:

• Require either full payment or 50% deposit
• Remaining balance automatically processed before shipment
• 10% cancellation fee applies after deposit is placed

Discounts:

• Apply only at time of purchase
• Cannot be applied retroactively

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Method:

• LTL freight on a pallet from Texas facility
• Freight carrier coordinates delivery via call, text, and/or email
• Curbside delivery to residence

Customer Responsibilities:

• Relocating unit from curbside to desired location
• Disposal of packaging materials
• Delivery driver will NOT assist with moving tub or setup

Special Delivery Options:

• "No signature needed" delivery available upon request for those unable to be present

Outdoor Use & Placement Guidelines

Location Requirements:

• Must be placed on flat, level surface
• Surface must support 900+ pounds (filled tub plus user weight)
• Strongly recommend sheltered area (patio, under umbrella, deck, pergola)
• Protect from direct sunlight to prevent warping—prolonged sun exposure voids warranty
• Ensure adequate ventilation if chiller is covered

Cold Climate Precautions:

• Use chiller bypass hose in freezing temperatures
• Relocate chiller indoors when temperatures drop below freezing
• Keep pump running in cold conditions
• Maintain clean filters or remove filter entirely for maximum flow
• Freezing damage not covered by warranty

Hot Climate Performance: Thanks to exceptional insulation, the 1/4 HP chiller maintains consistent cold temperatures even in hot climates without struggle.

Safety Precautions

Medical Warnings:

• Not intended for children under 18
• Pregnant or potentially pregnant individuals should consult physician before use
• Individuals with heart disease, blood pressure issues, diabetes, obesity, immune disorders, or circulation problems must seek medical advice before use
• Exit immediately if experiencing numbness, chest pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, or shortness of breath

Usage Restrictions:

• Never use under influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or impairing medications
• Always maintain direct adult supervision if children are present
• Secure unit with appropriate locks or covers to prevent unsupervised access
• Exercise extreme caution to prevent drowning risk

Ice Warning: Do not add ice directly into tub while chiller is active—this can cause internal freezing, damage the unit, and void warranty. If adding ice, chiller must be turned off or disconnected.

Temperature Performance: Water temperature reaches as low as 39°F. System maintains temperature range of 39-42°F when set to minimum, shifting to standby mode when within 2 degrees of set temperature.
