When a father-and-son duo—Dave and Eric—couldn’t find a reliable way to cool their aquarium, they built their own custom water chiller in their garage. In 2011, following Dave’s retirement, the hobby officially transformed into a full-fledged business. I had the Ice Barrel Chiller for over a year and I’d recommend it to anyone. I live in Austin TX where summers are consistently in the 90s and it kept temps around 48°F. It even went lower in cooler mornings. Eventually I made a wrap to hold temps better. The service was incredible—fast fix when it shorted after a year. Buy with confidence.
